09. EHDS Guide | Implementation & Monitoring
Staying on track in the long term
The Maturity Assessment is followed by the Operational Implementation phase. Continuous monitoring guarantees sustainable success. In this phase, you should establish processes and controls, which you can do by:
- Conducting regular audits and controls
- Documenting your process
- Collecting feedback and adapting processes
It is important to regularly review your data management to ensure compliance with all legal and technical requirements. The measures for this are:
- Monthly reviews of API logs and access controls
- Quarterly auditings of data descriptions and standards
- Annual progress reports on maturity development
- Feedback rounds with employees and stakeholders
You can also regularly come back to this checklist:
- Monitoring and reporting systems installed?
- Person responsible for audits appointed?
- Documentation of results kept?
- Improvement measures implemented?
- Feedback processes established?
- Employee training conducted regularly?
